Green Dot
Summit Colorado Interfaith Council and Arise want to bring a powerful and proven violence prevention program to Summit County—Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training by Alteristic. This evidence-based initiative empowers everyday community members to actively prevent acts of harassment, abuse, and violence before they occur.
With the large number of visitors that come to our beautiful home, we have the opportunity to lead in violence prevention and share it with the world. Green Dot shifts the cultural norms that allow harm to persist—replacing silence and inaction with a sense of shared responsibility and tools for intervention.
Our goal is to host a Train-the-Trainer Green Dot program right here in Summit County. This will allow us to build a network of local trainers who can continue to educate, activate, and support businesses, nonprofits, faith communities, ski resorts, and civic groups in making our county safer and more inclusive for all.
To bring this training to life, we are seeking to raise a minimum of $25,000 to cover program fees, travel costs for two certified trainers from Alteristic, and accessibility accommodations.
